Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex was designated in 1964 by congress. Robert Bob Marshall was an american forester and wilderness activist that helped preserve this wilderness and is now named after him for his accomplishment. The Bob is located in Northwestern Montana on both sides of the continental divide and is well over 1.5 million acres of vast wilderness. This is one of the most completely preserved mountain ecosystems in the world. The kind of wilderness that is remote, breath taking, and adventurous. The Chinese wall and South Fork of the Flathead river are some of the attractions the Bob has to offer with rough, high rocky peaks, alpine lakes, delightful waterfalls, prettiest open meadows, sparkling and gentle translucent streams, towering lush coniferous forest and big river valleys. It's truly the best place to get lost in Montana.
Gordon Camp is located along the south fork of the Flathead River right in the heart of the wilderness.
Bob Marshall Wilderness Area became a natural wilderness in 1964. It is the fifth largest wilderness in the lower 48 states. Mountain ranges are 4,000-9000 in altitude. The wilderness, which includes the North and South forks of the sun river and the middle and south fork of the Flathead River it runs along side the continental divide. The Chinese wall a part of divide highlights the bob's vast beauty.

Summer Scenic Fishing Trips
The great outdoor is a provider of a vast variety of ways to relax. One way to escape from the world and into nature is through fly-fishing. You can be dropped off and fish back to camp, float from spot to spot as we carry your gear along to next campsite or just stay in one spot to enjoy the peaceful waters. You can have the experince of fishing the South Fork of the Flathead River, White River, Danaher, Youngs Creek, Gordon Creek, Big Salmon and these are just a few that are contributing streams that flow into the South Fork River.
There are some beautiful lakes to fish as well in the Bob Marshall Wilderness or Mission Mountain Wilderness. Second way is to sight see all the wonderful Mountain ranges, meadows and wildlife. Take a trip to the Chinese wall and see its beauty. All this is done on horseback or you can hike for that little bit of rugged adventure.

Drop & Float Trips
Summer Scenic Drop and Float Trips
We have two types of drop camps we take in, Float drops and non Float drops.
Float drops are at the head waters of the South Fork of the Flathead. The main trail head for drops are at Owl Creek for Gordon Creek Pass. We also can cater to other trail heads that go towards the head waters like Pyramid, and Lodge Pole and a few others.
Non drop Floats are anywhere you would like to be dropped off or picked back up from wherever you desire to go camping in the Bob.
You can also be dropped off in the Mission Mountain Wilderness.
Drop floats:
Rafting the middle fork of the Flathead is best from mid-July to mid August, Peak run off is in June.
