For the last 91 years we have helped people reach their outdoor experiences and goals, and to connect to the beauty and splendor of the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
The Cheff outfitting business has grown for many years. It's one of the oldest outfitting families in Montana. My grandparents Bud and Adelle Cheff founded this business back in 1932 and since passed onto my parents Mick and Karen Cheff. Now I am starting into the third generation to continue on my grandfathers dream. I have worked for the family business my whole life and now looking forward to carry on the outdoor family tradition.
Drop Float / Camps
Float drops are at the head waters of the South Fork of the Flathead. The main trail head for drops are at Owl Creek for Gordon Creek Pass. We also can cater to other trail heads that go towards the head waters like Pyramid, and Lodge Pole and a few others.
Non drop Floats are anywhere you would like to be dropped off or picked back up from wherever you desire to go camping in the Bob.
Hunting Trips
The Bob Marshall is one of thee most remote area's to hunt in Montana. Camp is roughly 29 miles into the heart of the wilderness at the mouth of Gordon Creek.
Your adventure begins at Owl Creek Trail Head at Holland Lake. The first 9 miles of trail goes up to Gordon Pass, then 20 miles down the canyon to camp. Base camp is set up in a beautiful meadow with 360 view of mountains. The South Fork of the Flathead River is only a minute or two away from camp. Each day of your trip starts out with a good hearty breakfast and then off you go for you're hunting adventure at daybreak, riding and hiking threw river bottoms and high alpine open basins at top of mountains.
Summer Scenic / Fishing Trips
Gordon Camp is located along the south fork of the Flathead River right in the heart of the wilderness. The wilderness, which includes the North and South forks of the sun river and the middle and south fork of the Flathead River it runs along side the continental divide.
